Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.

Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—

God certainly will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Surely God will not hear an empty cry, Neither will the Almighty regard it.

耶和華遠離惡人，卻聽義人的祈禱。

所以耶和華如此說：看哪，我必使災禍臨到他們，是他們不能逃脫的。他們向我哀求，我卻不聽。

你們舉手禱告，我必遮眼不看，就算你們多多祈禱，我也不聽；你們的手沾滿了血。

你們求也得不着，是因為你們妄求，為了要浪費在你們的宴樂中。

你到神的殿要謹慎你的腳步；近前聽，勝過愚昧人獻祭，他們不知道自己在作惡。在神面前你不可冒失開口，也不可心急發言；因為神在天上，你在地上，所以你的話語要少。事務多，令人做夢；話語多，顯出愚昧。

惡人獻祭，為耶和華所憎惡；正直人祈禱，為他所喜悅。

你們禱告，不可像外邦人那樣重複一些空話，他們以為話多了必蒙垂聽。

你們雖然向我獻燔祭和素祭，我卻不悅納，也不看你們用肥畜獻的平安祭。

不敬虔的人有甚麼指望呢？神要剪除他，取他的性命。患難臨到他，神豈聽他的呼求？

耶穌問她：「你要甚麼呢？」她對耶穌說：「在你的國裏，請讓我這兩個兒子一個坐在你右邊，一個坐在你左邊。」耶穌回答：「你們不知道所求的是甚麼。我將要喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？」他們對他說：「我們能。」

我呼求你，你不應允我；我站起來，你只是望着我。

他垂聽窮乏人的禱告，不藐視他們的祈求。

他們在床上呼號，卻不誠心哀求我；他們為求五穀新酒而聚集，卻背叛我。

他們必呼求我：「我的神啊，我們以色列認識你了。」以色列丟棄良善；仇敵必追逼他。

轉耳不聽教誨的，他的祈禱也可憎。

你當領受他口中的教導，將他的言語存在心裏。你若歸向全能者，就必得建立。你要從你帳棚中遠離不義，你要將黃金丟到塵土裏，將俄斐的金子丟在溪河石頭之間；全能者就必作你的黃金，作你成堆的銀子。那時，你要以全能者為喜樂，向神仰臉。你要向他禱告，他就聽你；你也要還你的願。
