God certainly will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.

Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—

The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am bringing disaster on them which they will not be able to escape; though they will cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.

So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures.

Guard your steps as you go to the house of God, and approach to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know that they are doing evil.Do not be quick with your mouth or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter in the presence of God. For God is in heaven and you are on the earth; therefore let your words be few.For the dream comes through much effort, and the voice of a fool through many words.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

“ And when you are praying, do not use thoughtless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.

Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fattened oxen.

For what is the hope of the godless when he makes an end of life, When God requires his life?Will God hear his cry When distress comes upon him?

And He said to her,“ What do you desire?” She* said to Him,“ Say that in Your kingdom these two sons of mine shall sit, one at Your right, and one at Your left.”But Jesus replied,“ You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?” They* said to Him,“ We are able.”

I cry out to You for help, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You turn Your attention against me.

He has turned His attention to the prayer of the destitute And has not despised their prayer.

And they do not cry to Me from their heart When they wail on their beds; For the sake of grain and new wine they assemble themselves, They turn against Me.

They cry out to Me,“ My God, we of Israel know You!”Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him.

One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Please receive instruction from His mouth, And put His words in your heart.If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove injustice far from your tent,And put your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks,Then the Almighty will be your gold And abundant silver to you.For then you will take pleasure in the Almighty And lift up your face to God.You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; And you will pay your vows.
