if the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who can find one who has not been filled with his meat?’

若我帐棚的人未尝说，谁不以主人的食物吃饱呢？

住在我帐篷中的人，谁没饱餐我的肉食呢？

我家里的人若没有说：‘谁能找出哪一个没有饱吃他的肉食的呢？’

若我帳棚的人未嘗說，誰不以主人的食物吃飽呢？（

住在我帳篷中的人，誰沒飽餐我的肉食呢？

我家裡的人若沒有說：‘誰能找出哪一個沒有飽吃他的肉食的呢？’

若我帳棚的家人未嘗說：「誰不以我主人的肉食而飽足呢？」（

若我幕中人未嘗雲、孰見有人不得其食而飽、

家之人未嘗曰、食無肉、枵腹堪嗟。

我家家原文作幕之人、何曾不指我云、孰不因其施食而得飽、

if those of my household have never said,‘ Who has not been filled with Job’s meat?’—

The workers in my house always said,‘ Job always gives plenty of food to everyone.’

if the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who is there that has not been filled with his meat?’

“ My servants have never said,‘ He let others go hungry.’

Haven’t the members of my household said,“ Who is there who has not had enough to eat at Job’s table?”

Have the people of my tent not said,‘ Who can find one who has not been satisfied with his meat’?

If the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat?’

If the men of my tent have not said, Who can find one that hath not been filled with his meat?

Haven’t the members of my household said,“ Who is there who has not had enough to eat at Job’s table?”

If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.

if the members of my household have never said,‘ If only there were someone who has not been satisfied from Job’s meat!’–

Then Abishai said to David,“ God has delivered up your enemy into your hand today. Now therefore please let me strike him with the spear to the earth at one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time.”

You haven’t given water to the weary to drink, and you have withheld bread from the hungry.

When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

David’s men said to him,“ Behold, the day of which Yahweh said to you,‘ Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it shall seem good to you.’” Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe secretly.

Behold, today your eyes have seen how Yahweh had delivered you today into my hand in the cave. Some urged me to kill you; but I spared you; and I said, I will not stretch out my hand against my lord; for he is Yahweh’s anointed.

Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

Then Johanan the son of Kareah spoke to Gedaliah in Mizpah secretly, saying,“ Please let me go, and I will kill Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and no man will know it. But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered,“ Shouldn’t Shimei be put to death for this, because he cursed Yahweh’s anointed?”David said,“ What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For don’t I know that I am king over Israel today?”

A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.But Jesus answered,“ Let me at least do this”— and he touched his ear, and healed him.

When his disciples, James and John, saw this, they said,“ Lord, do you want us to command fire to come down from the sky, and destroy them, just as Elijah did?”But he turned and rebuked them,“ You don’t know of what kind of spirit you are.

Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Please let me go over and take off his head.”The king said,“ What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? Because he curses, and because Yahweh has said to him,‘ Curse David;’ who then shall say,‘ Why have you done so?’”

If they say,“ Come with us. Let’s lay in wait for blood. Let’s lurk secretly for the innocent without cause.Let’s swallow them up alive like Sheol, and whole, like those who go down into the pit.

but these lay in wait for their own blood. They lurk secretly for their own lives.

Don’t let them say in their heart,“ Aha! That’s the way we want it!” Don’t let them say,“ We have swallowed him up!”

You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;who also eat the flesh of my people, and peel their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as meat within the cauldron.
