願他們像流水般消逝；願他們射箭的時候，箭頭折斷（本句原文意義不甚明確）。

萬軍之耶和華說：“你們若不聽從，若不放在心上，不把榮耀歸給我的名，我就使咒詛臨到你們中間，我要咒詛你們應得的福分，並且已經咒詛了，因為你們沒有把這命令放在心上。

他施的居民哪！要像尼羅河一般流遍你的地，再沒有限制了。

你實在把他們安放在滑地，使他們倒下、滅亡。他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。人睡醒了怎樣看夢，主啊！你睡醒了，也要照樣輕看他們（“他們”原文作“他們的影像”）。
