有人从城里唉哼，受伤的人呼求，神却不理会恶人的愚妄。

大邑之人歎息、傷者之心悲哀、惟此殘暴、上帝弗之顧也、

俾困苦者嘆息、傷心者呼籲、惡人橫逆如此、上帝不加以罪。

城中居民歎息、被傷者中心悲哀、或作城中將死者歎息被戮者之靈鳴冤乃天主不顧此等罪惡、

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.

The groans of those who are dying are heard from the city. Those who are wounded cry out for help. But God doesn’t charge anyone with doing what is wrong.

From out of the city the dying groan, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the wounded cry for help, yet God ignores their moaning.

From the city, men groan; the mortally wounded cry for help, yet God pays no attention to this crime.

From the city people groan, And the souls of the wounded cry for help; Yet God does not pay attention to the offensiveness.

From out of the populous city men groan, And the soul of the wounded crieth out: Yet God regardeth not the folly.

From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn’t regard the folly.

我又轉念，見日光之下所行的一切欺壓。看哪，受欺壓的流淚，且無人安慰；欺壓他們的有勢力，也無人安慰他們。

你行了這些事，我還閉口不言，你想我恰和你一樣；其實我要責備你，將這些事擺在你眼前。

耶和華說：我的百姓既是無價被擄去，如今我在這裏做甚麼呢？耶和華說：轄制他們的人呼叫，我的名整天受褻瀆。

因為，你所擊打的，他們就逼迫；你所擊傷的，他們戲說他的愁苦。

耶和華說：因為困苦人的冤屈和貧窮人的歎息，我現在要起來，把他安置在他所切慕的穩妥之地。

如今我們稱狂傲的人為有福，並且行惡的人得建立；他們雖然試探神，卻得脫離災難。』」

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不曉得他的恩慈是領你悔改呢？你竟任着你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己積蓄忿怒，以致神震怒，顯他公義審判的日子來到。

以色列人就除掉他們中間的外邦神，事奉耶和華。耶和華因以色列人受的苦難，就心中擔憂。

因他只有這一件當蓋頭，是他蓋身的衣服，若是沒有，他拿甚麼睡覺呢？他哀求我，我就應允，因為我是有恩惠的。

若忽然遭殺害之禍，他必戲笑無辜的人遇難。

過了多年，埃及王死了。以色列人因做苦工，就歎息哀求，他們的哀聲達於神。神聽見他們的哀聲，就記念他與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立的約。

因為我困苦窮乏，內心受傷。

你們用言語煩瑣耶和華，你們還說：「我們在何事上煩瑣他呢？」因為你們說：「凡行惡的，耶和華眼看為善，並且他喜悅他們」；或說：「公義的神在哪裏呢？」

因為斷定罪名不立刻施刑，所以世人滿心作惡。罪人雖然作惡百次，倒享長久的年日；然而我準知道，敬畏神的，就是在他面前敬畏的人，終久必得福樂。

並且要以我主長久忍耐為得救的因由，就如我們所親愛的兄弟保羅，照着所賜給他的智慧寫了信給你們。

埃及人嚴嚴地使以色列人做工，使他們因做苦工覺得命苦；無論是和泥，是做磚，是做田間各樣的工，在一切的工上都嚴嚴地待他們。
