When they have brought you low, you will speak with confidence, And He will save the humble person.

人使你降卑，你仍可说：必得高升；谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，上帝必然拯救。

当人降卑，你说：是因骄傲；眼目谦卑的人，神必然拯救。

人遭贬抑时，你说，‘使他们升高吧。’上帝就会拯救他们，

人谦卑的时候，你就说：‘升高吧！’眼中谦卑的他必拯救，

人卑降之時、爾仍言我得升高、蓋謙遜者、天主必祐之、

When people are brought low and you say,‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast.

When people are brought low you will say,‘ Lift them up!’ Then God will help them.

For when they are humbled you say,‘ It is because of pride’; but he saves the lowly.

If people are in trouble and you say,‘ Help them,’ God will save them.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When they cast you down, and you say,‘ Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person.

When they cast thee down, thou shalt say, There is lifting up; And the humble person he will save.

When others are humiliated and you say,“ Lift them up,” God will save the humble.

When[ men] are cast down, then thou shalt say,[ There is] lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

When people are brought low and you say‘ Lift them up!’ then he will save the downcast;

When they cast down, you will say,‘ be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says,“ God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.

In six troubles He will save you; Even in seven, evil will not touch you.In famine He will redeem you from death, And in war, from the power of the sword.You will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, And you will not be afraid of violence when it comes.You will laugh at violence and hunger, And you will not be afraid of wild animals.For you will be in league with the stones of the field, And the animals of the field will be at peace with you.You will know that your tent is secure, For you will visit your home and have nothing missing.You will also know that your descendants will be many, And your offspring as the grass of the earth.You will come to the grave at a ripe age, Like the stacking of grain in its season.Behold this; we have investigated it, and so it is. Hear it, and know for yourself.”

A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.

For the Lord is exalted, Yet He looks after the lowly, But He knows the haughty from afar.

For My hand made all these things, So all these things came into being,” declares the Lord.“ But I will look to this one, At one who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who trembles at My word.

this is what the Lord God says:‘ Remove the turban and take off the crown; this will no longer be the same. Exalt that which is low, and humble that which is high.Ruins, ruins, ruins, I will make it! This also will be no longer until He comes whose right it is, and I will give it to Him.’

Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:“ Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself:‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

“ Because he has loved Me, I will save him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.I will satisfy him with a long life, And show him My salvation.”

For, behold, Your enemies, Lord, For, behold, Your enemies will perish; All who do injustice will be scattered.But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.And my eye has looked at my enemies, My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.When my enemies turn back, They stumble and perish before You.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
