Saying, Surely they that did rise up against us are cut off, And the remnant of them the fire hath consumed.

「那起來攻擊我們的、果然被抹除了，他們剩下的、有火給吞滅了。」

曰、起而敵我者見絕、其餘為火所焚、

我仇見絕、其富有火盡燬之、

曰、我敵見絕、其貲財貲財或作富有火盡燬之、

‘ Surely our foes are destroyed, and fire devours their wealth.’

They say,‘ Our enemies are completely destroyed. Fire has burned up their wealth.’

saying,‘ Surely our adversaries are cut off, and what they left the fire has consumed.’

They will say,‘ See how our enemies have been destroyed. The last of them have been consumed in the fire.’

“ Surely our opponents are destroyed, and fire has consumed what they left behind.”

‘ Truly our enemies are eliminated, And fire has consumed their abundance.’

‘ surely our adversaries are cut down, And the fire consumes their remnant.’

“ Surely our opponents are destroyed, and fire has consumed what they left behind.”

Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.

‘ Surely our enemies are destroyed, and fire consumes their wealth.’

Doth God pervert justice? Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?If thy children have sinned against him, And he hath delivered them into the hand of their transgression;

Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? Or where were the upright cut off?

That which he labored for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down; According to the substance that he hath gotten, he shall not rejoice.For he hath oppressed and forsaken the poor; He hath violently taken away a house, and he shall not build it up.

All darkness is laid up for his treasures: A fire not blown by man shall devour him; It shall consume that which is left in his tent.

but in the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all:after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.
