但我也有聰明的心、像你們一樣啊；我，我並不是落於你們之後呀；像這些事、誰不知道呢？

我亦有才思、才思或作慧心與爾無異、並非不及爾、誰不知爾之所知、誰不知爾之所知或作爾所言者誰不知之

But I have a mind as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know all these things?

But I have a brain, just like you. I’m as clever as you are. In fact, everyone knows as much as you do.

But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

Well, I know a few things myself— and you’re no better than I am. Who doesn’t know these things you’ve been saying?

But I also have a mind like you; I am not inferior to you. Who doesn’t know the things you are talking about?

你們所知道的、我也知道；我，我並不落於你們之後呀。我，我卻要對全能者說話，我願對上帝辯明我的案情。你們呢，你們是粉飾虛假的，是無用的醫生。哦，願你們全然不作聲哦！這還算為你們的智慧呢。

物淡不用鹽、豈可喫呢？馬齒莧的汁有甚麼滋味？我的胃口不肯挨着：這些苦難像我的食物中令人作嘔的成分。

不要照愚頑人的愚妄話回答他，免得你也跟他一樣。

『無能力的人、你怎樣幫助他呀！膀臂無力的人、你怎樣拯救他呀！無智慧的人、你怎樣忠告他，使他多知成功的謀略呀！

說句不體面的話吧，這樣的事，我們就太軟弱作不來了！其實呢、憑愚氣說吧，誰在甚麼事上大膽，我也大膽！他們是希伯來人麼？我也是。他們是以色列人麼？我也是。他們是亞伯拉罕的後裔麼？我也是。他們是基督的僕役麼？瘋狂地說吧，我更是。論勞苦、更繁多；論鞭打、屢過次數；論坐監、更多次；論冒死、屢次有。

不過我想我絲毫也沒有趕不上那些超等的「使徒」。
