But the witless can no more become wise than a wild donkey’s colt can be born human.

A wild donkey’s colt can’t be born a human being. And it’s just as impossible that a person without sense can become wise.

But a stupid man will get understanding when a wild donkey’s colt is born a man!

An empty headed person won’t become wise any more than a wild donkey can bear a human child.

But a stupid person will gain understanding as soon as a wild donkey is born a human!

An idiot will become intelligent When a wild donkey is born a human.

For an empty-headed man will be wise, When a wild donkey’s colt is born a man.

But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born as a wild ass’s colt.

For vain man would be wise, though man be born[ like] a wild ass’s colt.

But an empty man will become wise, when a wild donkey’s colt is born a human being.

An empty- headed man becomes wise when a man is born as a wild donkey’s colt.

Who set the wild donkey free? Who released the swift donkey from its harness?I made the wilderness its home, and the salty wasteland its dwelling.It scoffs at the noise of the village and never hears the shouts of a driver.It roams the mountains for its pastureland, searching for anything green.

I was stupid and didn’t understand; I was an unthinking animal toward You.

Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?

I said to myself,“ This happens concerning people, so that God may test them and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”

Who is wise and has understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom’s gentleness.But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth.Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil.But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.

He said to mankind,“ The fear of the Lord is this: wisdom. And to turn from evil is understanding.”

A stupid person does not know, a fool does not understand this:

Indeed, I was guilty when I was born; I was sinful when my mother conceived me.

He traps the wise in their craftiness so that the plans of the deceptive are quickly brought to an end.

No doubt you are the people, and wisdom will die with you!But I also have a mind; I am not inferior to you. Who doesn’t know the things you are talking about?

I am more stupid than any other man, and I lack man’s ability to understand.I have not gained wisdom, and I have no knowledge of the Holy One.Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His hands? Who has bound up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is the name of His Son— if you know?

Men are only a vapor; exalted men, an illusion. Weighed in the scales, they go up; together they are less than a vapor.Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, pay no attention to it.

a wild donkey at home in the wilderness. She sniffs the wind in the heat of her desire. Who can control her passion? All who look for her will not become tired; they will find her in her mating season.

What is man, that he should be pure, or one born of woman, that he should be righteous?

Claiming to be wise, they became fools

No one should deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks he is wise in this age, he must become foolish so that he can become wise.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, since it is written: He catches the wise in their craftiness;and again, The Lord knows that the reasonings of the wise are meaningless.

We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also.

Does a wild donkey bray over fresh grass or an ox low over its fodder?

Be in agreement with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
