Nevertheless, that time of darkness and despair will not go on forever. The land of Zebulun and Naphtali will be humbled, but there will be a time in the future when Galilee of the Gentiles, which lies along the road that runs between the Jordan and the sea, will be filled with glory.The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.

“ In the land of Zebulun and of Naphtali, beside the sea, beyond the Jordan River, in Galilee where so many Gentiles live,the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”

Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you.

“ Stand back!” they shouted.“ This fellow came to town as an outsider, and now he’s acting like our judge! We’ll treat you far worse than those other men!” And they lunged toward Lot to break down the door.

“ You were born a total sinner!” they answered.“ Are you trying to teach us?” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face.“ Since when did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?” he demanded.

The man replied,“ Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Everyone knows what I did.”
