你看，他公然放膽地講話呢，他們也不向他說甚麼！難道議員們真知道這個人是上帝所膏立者麼？

看，他還在公開講話，他們也沒有對他說什麼。難道首領們真的認為這個人就是基督嗎？

今彼侃侃而談、無與之言者、有司誠知其為基督乎、

今彼明言、而眾莫之禁、豈有司知其誠基督乎、

今彼顯言、而無人斥之、豈有司知其誠為基督乎、

今乃公然施訓、而莫之誰何！豈當局已確認其為基督乎？

Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Messiah?

Here he is! He is speaking openly. They aren’t saying a word to him. Have the authorities really decided that he is the Messiah?

And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?

But here he is, speaking in public, and they say nothing to him. Could our leaders possibly believe that he is the Messiah?

Yet, look, he’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to him. Can it be true that the authorities know he is the Messiah?

And yet look, He is speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to Him. The rulers do not really know that this is the Christ, do they?

But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ?

And lo, he speaketh openly, and they say nothing unto him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is the Christ?

Yet, look! He’s speaking publicly and they’re saying nothing to Him. Can it be true that the authorities know He is the Messiah?

But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

Yet here he is, speaking publicly, and they are saying nothing to him. Do the rulers really know that this man is the Christ?

Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Christ?

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion. (niv)

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (niv)

His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue. (niv)

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self- discipline.So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. (niv)

My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds, of your saving acts all day long— though I know not how to relate them all.I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone. (niv)

Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“ What are we accomplishing?” they asked.“ Here is this man performing many signs.If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up,“ You know nothing at all!You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.”He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation,and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God, to bring them together and make them one.So from that day on they plotted to take his life. I proclaim your saving acts in the great assembly; I do not seal my lips, Lord, as you know.I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and your saving help. I do not conceal your love and your faithfulness from the great assembly. (niv)

They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians.“ Teacher,” they said,“ we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. (niv)

And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear. (niv)

Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.He who vindicates me is near. Who then will bring charges against me? Let us face each other! Who is my accuser? Let him confront me! (niv)

Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; (niv)

Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. (niv)
