Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said,“ He is a good man.” Others replied,“ No, he deceives the people.”

And there was much muttering about him among the people. While some said,“ He is a good man,” others said,“ No, he is leading the people astray.”

There was a lot of grumbling about him among the crowds. Some argued,“ He’s a good man,” but others said,“ He’s nothing but a fraud who deceives the people.”

And there was a lot of murmuring about him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, he’s deceiving the people.”

And there was a great deal of talk about Him in secret among the crowds: some were saying,“ He is a good man”; others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He is misleading the people.”

And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said,“ He is good”; others said,“ No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.”

And there was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him: some said, He is a good man; others said, Not so, but he leadeth the multitude astray.

And there was a lot of discussion about Him among the crowds. Some were saying,“ He’s a good man.” Others were saying,“ No, on the contrary, He’s deceiving the people.”

眾人聽見這話，有的說：「這真是那先知。」有的說：「這是基督。」但也有的說：「基督豈是從加利利出來的嗎？經上豈不是說『基督是大衛的後裔，從大衛本鄉伯利恆出來的』嗎？」於是眾人因着耶穌起了紛爭。

法利賽人中有的說：「這個人不是從神來的，因為他不守安息日。」又有人說：「一個罪人怎能行這樣的神蹟呢？」他們就起了紛爭。

法利賽人說：「你們也受了迷惑嗎？

法利賽人聽見眾人為耶穌這樣紛紛議論，祭司長和法利賽人就打發差役去捉拿他。

耶路撒冷人中有的說：「這不是他們想要殺的人嗎？你看他還明明地講道，他們也不向他說甚麼，難道官長真知道這是基督嗎？然而，我們知道這個人從哪裏來；只是基督來的時候，沒有人知道他從哪裏來。」

凡所行的，都不要發怨言，起爭論，

有一個人名叫約瑟，是個議士，為人善良公義；

他們想要捉拿他，只是怕眾人，因為眾人以他為先知。

百夫長看見所成的事，就歸榮耀與神，說：「這真是個義人！」

「大人，我們記得那誘惑人的還活着的時候曾說：『三日後我要復活。』

學生和先生一樣，僕人和主人一樣，也就罷了。人既罵家主是別西卜，何況他的家人呢？」

眾人都驚奇，歸榮耀與神，說：「有大先知在我們中間興起來了！」又說：「神眷顧了他的百姓！」

耶穌到了凱撒利亞‧腓立比的境內，就問門徒說：「人說我－－人子是誰？」他們說：「有人說是施洗的約翰；有人說是以利亞；又有人說是耶利米或是先知裏的一位。」耶穌說：「你們說我是誰？」西門‧彼得回答說：「你是基督，是永生神的兒子。」

善人從他心裏所存的善就發出善來；惡人從他心裏所存的惡就發出惡來；因為心裏所充滿的，口裏就說出來。」

耶穌對他說：「你為甚麼稱我是良善的？除了神一位之外，再沒有良善的。

這巴拿巴原是個好人，被聖靈充滿，大有信心。於是有許多人歸服了主。

他們回答說：「你也是出於加利利嗎？你且去查考，就可知道加利利沒有出過先知。」

猶太人為這些話又起了紛爭。內中有好些人說：「他是被鬼附着，而且瘋了，為甚麼聽他呢？」又有人說：「這不是鬼附之人所說的話。鬼豈能叫瞎子的眼睛開了呢？」

為義人死，是少有的；為仁人死，或者有敢做的。

眾人看見耶穌所行的神蹟，就說：「這真是那要到世間來的先知！」
