Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat?

When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip,“ Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”

Jesus looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him. So he said to Philip,“ Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?”

Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip,“ Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?”

Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked,“ Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?”

So when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward him, he asked Philip,“ Where will we buy bread so that these people can eat?”

So Jesus, after raising His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him,* said to Philip,“ Where are we to buy bread so that these people may eat?”

Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip,“ Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?”

Therefore, when Jesus looked up and noticed a huge crowd coming toward Him, He asked Philip,“ Where will we buy bread so these people can eat?”

When Jesus then lifted up[ his] eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

Then Jesus, when he looked up and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, said to Philip,“ Where can we buy bread so that these people may eat?”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy food for all this people.

I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat:and if I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way; and some of them are come from far.And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to fill these men with bread here in a desert place?

On the morrow he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he findeth Philip: and Jesus saith unto him, Follow me.

And he came forth and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, The place is desert, and the day is now far spent;

And he came forth, and saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick.And when even was come, the disciples came to him, saying, The place is desert, and the time is already past; send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.

And the disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so many loaves in a desert place as to fill so great a multitude?

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh the harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white already unto harvest.
