For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.

I have not come down from heaven to do what I want to do. I have come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do.

“ I can do nothing on My own. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.

Jesus* said to them,“ My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work.

No one has ascended into heaven, except He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.

But the Lord desired To crush Him, causing Him grief; If He renders Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand.

but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond servant and being born in the likeness of men.And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross.

“ He who comes from above is above all; the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.”

( Now this expression,“ He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?

And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will, but as You will.”And He* came to the disciples and* found them sleeping, and He* said to Peter,“ So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”He went away again a second time and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink from it, Your will be done.”

Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

For even Christ did not please Himself, but as it is written:“ The taunts of those who taunt You have fallen on Me.”

Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( It is written of Me in the scroll of the book) To do Your will, O God.’ ”After saying above,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and offerings for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them”( which are offered according to the Law),then He said,“ Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.

Then I said,“ Behold, I have come; It is written of me in the scroll of the book.I delight to do Your will, my God; Your Law is within my heart.”
