Romans 3:19-20
Now we know that whatever the law says speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment. For no one will be justified in His sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.

Romans 2:17-29
Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rest in the law, boast in God,know His will, and approve the things that are superior, being instructed from the law,and if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in darkness,an instructor of the ignorant, a teacher of the immature, having the full expression of knowledge and truth in the law—you then, who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach,“ You must not steal”— do you steal? You who say,“ You must not commit adultery”— do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob their temples? You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.For circumcision benefits you if you observe the law, but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision. Therefore if an uncircumcised man keeps the law’s requirements, will his uncircumcision not be counted as circumcision?A man who is physically uncircumcised, but who fulfills the law, will judge you who are a lawbreaker in spite of having the letter of the law and circumcision. For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, and true circumcision is not something visible in the flesh. On the contrary, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart— by the Spirit, not the letter. That man’s praise is not from men but from God.

Romans 10:5-10
For Moses writes about the righteousness that is from the law: The one who does these things will live by them. But the righteousness that comes from faith speaks like this: Do not say in your heart,“ Who will go up to heaven?” that is, to bring Christ downor,“ Who will go down into the abyss?” that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.On the contrary, what does it say? The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim:If you confess with your mouth,“ Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

2 Corinthians 3 7-2 Corinthians 3 11
Now if the ministry of death, chiseled in letters on stones, came with glory, so that the Israelites were not able to look directly at Moses’ face because of the glory from his face— a fading glory—how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness overflows with even more glory. In fact, what had been glorious is not glorious now by comparison because of the glory that surpasses it.For if what was fading away was glorious, what endures will be even more glorious.

Romans 7:9-14
Once I was alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin sprang to lifeand I died. The commandment that was meant for life resulted in death for me.For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and just and good. Therefore, did what is good cause my death? Absolutely not! On the contrary, sin, in order to be recognized as sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that through the commandment, sin might become sinful beyond measure. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am made out of flesh, sold into sin’s power.
