會堂主管基利司布和他全家都信了主，許多哥林多人聽了道後，也信了主，受了洗。

他請二人到家裡吃飯，他和全家人充滿了喜樂，因為都信了上帝。

耶穌對百夫長說：「你回去吧！就照你所信的給你成就。」就在那時候，他的僕人便痊癒了。

祂一發令，就醫治了他們，救他們脫離死亡。

百夫長說：「主啊，我不配讓你親自來我家。你只要說一句話，我僕人就會痊癒。因為我有上司，也有部下。我命令我的部下去，他就去；要他來，他就來。我吩咐僕人做什麼事，他一定照辦。」

因為祂一發話，就創造了天地；祂一命令，就立定了萬物。

耶穌說：「今天救恩臨到這家了，因為他也是亞伯拉罕的子孫。

因為這應許是給你們和你們的兒女，以及遠方的人，就是所有被主——我們的上帝呼召的人。」

呂底亞和家人接受洗禮之後，極力邀請我們，說：「如果你們認為我是真心信主的話，請來我家住。」於是強留我們住下。
