Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.

Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there,and Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.When the wine ran out, Jesus’ mother said to him,“ They have no wine left.”Jesus replied,“ Woman, why are you saying this to me? My time has not yet come.”His mother told the servants,“ Whatever he tells you, do it.”Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washing, each holding twenty or thirty gallons.Jesus told the servants,“ Fill the water jars with water.” So they filled them up to the very top.Then he told them,“ Now draw some out and take it to the head steward,” and they did.When the head steward tasted the water that had been turned to wine, not knowing where it came from( though the servants who had drawn the water knew), he called the bridegroomand said to him,“ Everyone serves the good wine first, and then the cheaper wine when the guests are drunk. You have kept the good wine until now!”Jesus did this as the first of his miraculous signs, in Cana of Galilee. In this way he revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

When he struck them down, they sought his favor; they turned back and longed for God.

Pray to me when you are in trouble! I will deliver you, and you will honor me!”

When they came to the crowd, a man came to him, knelt before him,and said,“ Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly, for he often falls into the fire and into the water.

and on to Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.

because he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds pressed around him.

As he was saying these things, a ruler came, bowed low before him, and said,“ My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her and she will live.”

Simon Peter, Thomas( called Didymus), Nathanael( who was from Cana in Galilee), the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples of his were together.

Then I will return again to my lair until they have suffered their punishment. Then they will seek me; in their distress they will earnestly seek me.

A Canaanite woman from that area came and cried out,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is horribly demon- possessed!”

A centurion there had a slave who was highly regarded, but who was sick and at the point of death.
