耶穌到了那裏，抬頭一看，對他說：「撒該，快下來！今天我必須住在你家裏。」他就急忙下來，歡歡喜喜地接待耶穌。眾人看見，都私下議論說：「他竟然到罪人家裏去住宿。」撒該站着對主說：「主啊，我把所有的一半給窮人；我若勒索了誰，就還他四倍。」耶穌對他說：「今天救恩到了這家，因為他也是亞伯拉罕的子孫。人子來是要尋找和拯救失喪的人。」

我剛離開他們，就遇見我心所愛的。我拉住他，不放他走，領他進入我母親的家，到懷我者的內室。

鬼已從身上出去的那人懇求要和耶穌在一起，耶穌卻打發他回去，說：

我們與上帝同工的也勸你們，不可白受他的恩典；因為他說：「在悅納的時候，我應允了你；在拯救的日子，我幫助了你。」看哪，現在正是悅納的時候！看哪，現在正是拯救的日子！

要持定訓誨，不可放鬆；要謹守它，因為它是你的生命。
