Now he had to go through Samaria.

Jesus had to go through Samaria.

He had to go through Samaria on the way.

He had to travel through Samaria;

But He needed to go through Samaria.

Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. (niv)

As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him; (niv)

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions:“ Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. (niv)

“ Why were you searching for me?” he asked.“ Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” (niv)
