They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he baptizes, and everyone is coming to him.”

就来见约翰，对他说：“拉比，从前同你在约旦河的东边，你所见证的那位，你看，他在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

就来见约翰，对他说：“拉比，从前同你在约旦河的东边，你所见证的那位，你看，他在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

于是门徒来见约翰，说：“老师，你看，以前在约旦河对岸和你在一起、你为祂做见证的那位在给人施洗，众人都去祂那里了！”

他们来到约翰那里，对他说：“拉比，你看，从前和你在约旦河东，你为他作见证的那一位，他也在施洗，众人都到他那里去了。”

他们就到约翰那里，对他说：“拉比，你看，以前与你在约旦河对岸的，就是你所见证的那一位，他也在施洗，而且大家都到他那里去了。”

就來見約翰，說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河外、你所見證的那位，現在施洗，眾人都往他那裏去了。」

就來見約翰，對他說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河的東邊，你所見證的那位，你看，他在施洗，眾人都到他那裏去了。」

就來見約翰，對他說：「拉比，從前同你在約旦河的東邊，你所見證的那位，你看，他在施洗，眾人都到他那裏去了。」

於是門徒來見約翰，說：「老師，你看，以前在約旦河對岸和你在一起、你為祂做見證的那位在給人施洗，眾人都去祂那裡了！」

他們來到約翰那裡，對他說：“拉比，你看，從前和你在約旦河東，你為他作見證的那一位，他也在施洗，眾人都到他那裡去了。”

他們來見約翰，對他說：『老師，從前同你在約但河外、你所見證的那一位，你看，這個人正施行洗禮呢，眾人都找他去了。』

他們就到約翰那裡，對他說：「拉比，你看，以前與你在約旦河對岸的，就是你所見證的那一位，他也在施洗，而且大家都到他那裡去了。」

遂詣約翰曰、夫子、昔偕爾於約但外、爾所證者、今施洗、而人皆就之、

就約翰曰、夫子、昔偕爾在約但外、爾所證者、今施洗、而眾就之、

來就約翰曰、拉比、昔偕爾在約但外、爾所證者、今施洗而眾就之、

因共謁如望曰：『夫子曩在約但河外、所為作證者、今亦授洗、人盡趨之。』

They came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan— the one you testified about— look, he is baptizing, and everyone is going to him.”

They came to John and here is what they said to him.“ Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River is baptizing people. He is the one you told us about. Everyone is going to him.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, he who was with you across the Jordan, to whom you bore witness— look, he is baptizing, and all are going to him.”

So John’s disciples came to him and said,“ Rabbi, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you identified as the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going to him instead of coming to us.”

So they came to John and told him,“ Rabbi, the one you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan, is baptizing— and everyone is going to him.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing and all the people are coming to Him.”

And they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified— behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!”

And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

So they came to John and told him,“ Rabbi, the One you testified about, and who was with you across the Jordan, is baptizing— and everyone is flocking to Him.”

And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all[ men] come to him.

So they came to John and said to him,“ Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, about whom you testified– see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”

The same came as a witness, that he might testify about the light, that all might believe through him.

The Pharisees therefore said among themselves,“ See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him.”

I have sworn by myself. The word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and will not be revoked, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.

But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?For when one says,“ I follow Paul,” and another,“ I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed, and each as the Lord gave to him?

Then I saw all the labor and achievement that is the envy of a man’s neighbor. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.

You see and hear that not at Ephesus alone, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods that are made with hands.Not only is there danger that this our trade come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing and her majesty destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.”

John testified about him. He cried out, saying,“ This was he of whom I said,‘ He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.’”

Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain,“ The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously”?But he gives more grace. Therefore it says,“ God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

John answered them,“ I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don’t know.He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I’m not worthy to loosen.”These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said,“ Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!This is he of whom I said,‘ After me comes a man who is preferred before me, for he was before me.’I didn’t know him, but for this reason I came baptizing in water: that he would be revealed to Israel.”John testified, saying,“ I have seen the Spirit descending like a dove out of heaven, and it remained on him.I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me,‘ On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.”Again, the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples,and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said,“ Behold, the Lamb of God!”

If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

You who hear prayer, all men will come to you.

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.

But two men remained in the camp. The name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad; and the Spirit rested on them. They were of those who were written, but had not gone out to the Tent; and they prophesied in the camp.A young man ran, and told Moses, and said,“ Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp!”Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his chosen men, answered,“ My lord Moses, forbid them!”Moses said to him,“ Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all Yahweh’s people were prophets, that Yahweh would put his Spirit on them!”

The true light that enlightens everyone was coming into the world.

The same came to him by night, and said to him,“ Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him.”

As many as desire to make a good impression in the flesh compel you to be circumcised; just so they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.For even they who receive circumcision don’t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.

the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called‘ Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men.
