Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked,“ What do you want?” or“ Why are you talking with her?” (niv)

Jacob said,“ Please tell me your name.” But he replied,“ Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there.So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying,“ It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” (niv)

But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it. (niv)

Jesus saw that they wanted to ask him about this, so he said to them,“ Are you asking one another what I meant when I said,‘ In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me’? (niv)

But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it. (niv)

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said,“ you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my lambs.” (niv)
