“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior. (niv)

The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.Lord, save us! Lord, grant us success!Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. From the house of the Lord we bless you.The Lord is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you. (niv)

“ I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. (niv)

You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah,“ Here is your God!”See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. (niv)

But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (niv)

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said,“ Do you believe in the Son of Man?”“ Who is he, sir?” the man asked.“ Tell me so that I may believe in him.”Jesus said,“ You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”Then the man said,“ Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.
