安息週的第一日、大清早、那些婦女才帶着所豫備的香料，來到塋墓前。看見石頭已經從墳墓輥開了，她們就進去，卻沒有看見身體。正為這事為難的時候，忽然有兩個人站在她們旁邊，穿着閃爍的衣服。她們很懼怕，就屈身將臉伏地；那兩個人對她們說：『為甚麼在死人中找活人呢？你們要想起耶穌還在加利利時怎樣對你們講過：人子必須被送交在罪人手裏，被釘十字架，第三天復起。』她們想起耶穌的話來，就從墳墓那裏回去，把這一切事報告那十一位和所有其餘的人。去報告的是抹大拉的馬利亞、和約亞拿、跟雅各的母親馬利亞和其餘同她們在一起的婦女。以上女人將這些事對使徒們說。

安息週的第一日、清早、耶穌復起了，先向抹大拉的馬利亞顯現，就是耶穌曾經從她身上趕出七個鬼的。

過了八天、耶穌的門徒又在裏面，多馬也同他們在一起。門都關了，耶穌來，站在當中說：『願你們平安！』

而在耶穌十字架旁站着的、卻有他母親、和他母親的姊妹、革羅罷的妻子馬利亞、和抹大拉的馬利亞。

抹大拉的馬利亞就去向門徒傳信說：『我已經看見了主了』，主怎樣對她說了以上這些話。那一天、安息週的第一日、傍晚、因為怕猶太人，門徒所在的地方門都關了。耶穌來，站在當中，對他們說：『願你們平安！』

所以請發命令將墓把守妥當、直到第三天；恐怕他門徒來了，把他偷去，卻告訴人民說：「他從死人中活了起來」；這樣，那末後的迷惑就比先前的更厲害了。』彼拉多對他們說：『領一排守衛隊去吧；儘你們所能的把守妥當。』他們就去，將墓把守妥當，蓋印封着石頭，加上守衛隊。安息日後夜裏、當安息週第一日天快亮的時候、抹大拉的馬利亞和那另一個馬利亞來了，要看那墓。忽然地大震動；因為有主的一個使者從天上下來，走上前去，把石頭輥開，坐在上面。他的像貌如同閃電，他的衣服白得像雪。由於怕他的緣故，看守的人都發抖震顫，像死人一般。天使應時對婦女說：『別懼怕了！我知道你們是尋找那釘十字架的耶穌的。他不在這裏；他已經活起來了，照他所說過的。你們來，看他被安放的地方。趕緊去告訴他的門徒說：「他從死人中活了起來了；看吧，他在你們以先往加利利去；在那裏你們可以看見他。」請注意我所告訴你們的。』她們就趕緊離開墳墓，又敬畏、又大大歡喜，跑去報告他的門徒。忽然耶穌迎着她們來了，說：『你們好啊！』她們上前去，抱住他的腳拜他。耶穌就對她們說：『別懼怕了！去報告我的弟兄，叫他們往加利利去；在那裏他們可以看見我。』

過了安息日，抹大拉的馬利亞和雅各的母親馬利亞、跟撒羅米，就買了香料，要去抹耶穌。安息週的第一日，大清早，她們上塋墓來，日剛剛出。她們彼此說：『誰可以給我們把石頭從墳墓門輥開呢？』望上一看，卻見石頭已經輥回去了！那石頭原是極大。他們進了墳墓，看見一個青年人坐在右邊，披着白袍；她們非常驚訝。

有一主日、我身在靈境中、聽見有大聲音在我後面像號筒的聲音

每逢安息週的第一日、你們各人總要照自己所得的贏餘、放在身邊儲藏着，免得我來時捐款才要現湊。

安息週的第一天，我們聚集擘餅的時候，保羅因為第二天將要出行，就向他們講論，把話延長到半夜。
