and went again into the Praetorium, and said to Jesus,“ Where are You from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

and he went back inside the palace.“ Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer.

and he entered into the Prætorium again, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

He went back into the headquarters and asked Jesus,“ Where are You from?” But Jesus did not give him an answer.

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

and he went back into the governor’s residence and said to Jesus,“ Where do you come from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus,“ Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him,“ Are You the King of the Jews?”

We know that God spoke to Moses; as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.”The man answered and said to them,“ Why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes!

The place in the Scripture which he read was this:“ He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth.In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.”

Jesus answered and said to them,“ Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going.

So the woman came and told her husband, saying,“ A Man of God came to me, and His countenance was like the countenance of the Angel of God, very awesome; but I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name.

And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing.Then Pilate said to Him,“ Do You not hear how many things they testify against You?”But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly.

He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him,“ I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”

And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing.Then Pilate asked Him again, saying,“ Do You answer nothing? See how many things they testify against You!”But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marveled.

and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Pilate therefore said to Him,“ Are You a king then?” Jesus answered,“ You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute who does not open his mouth.Thus I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth is no response.For in You, O Lord, I hope; You will hear, O Lord my God.
