and he went back inside the palace.“ Where do you come from?” he asked Jesus, but Jesus gave him no answer.

He went back into the headquarters and asked Jesus,“ Where are You from?” But Jesus did not give him an answer.

And went again into the judgment hall, and saith unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

and he went back into the governor’s residence and said to Jesus,“ Where do you come from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

He entered into the Praetorium again, and said to Jesus,“ Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer.

Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him,“ Are you the king of the Jews?” (niv)

We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”The man answered,“ Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. (niv)

This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading:“ He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth.” (niv)

Jesus answered,“ Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. (niv)

Then the woman went to her husband and told him,“ A man of God came to me. He looked like an angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he came from, and he didn’t tell me his name. (niv)

When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.Then Pilate asked him,“ Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?”But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge— to the great amazement of the governor. (niv)

He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth. (niv)

But Jesus remained silent. The high priest said to him,“ I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.” (niv)

The chief priests accused him of many things.So again Pilate asked him,“ Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of.”But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed. (niv)

without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved— and that by God. (niv)

“ You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (niv)

I am like the deaf, who cannot hear, like the mute, who cannot speak;I have become like one who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply.Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God. (niv)
