The Jews answered him,“ We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die, because He made Himself the Son of God.”

猶太人曰：『吾人有律法、依法彼當死、以彼自稱天主子。』

The Jewish leaders insisted,“ We have a law, and according to that law he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God.”

The Jewish leaders replied,“ We have a law. That law says he must die. He claimed to be the Son of God.”

The Jews answered him,“ We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.”

The Jewish leaders replied,“ By our law he ought to die because he called himself the Son of God.”

“ We have a law,” the Jews replied to him,“ and according to that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.”

The Jews answered him,“ We have a law, and by that law He ought to die, because He made Himself out to be the Son of God!”

The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

“ We have a law,” the Jews replied to him,“ and according to that law He must die, because He made Himself the Son of God.”

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

And whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him, the stranger as well as him who is born in the land. When he blasphemes the name of the Lord, he shall be put to death.

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him,“ I put You under oath by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!”Jesus said to him,“ It is as you said. Nevertheless, I say to you, hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.”Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying,“ He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!What do you think?” They answered and said,“ He is deserving of death.”

and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,‘ You are blaspheming,’ because I said,‘ I am the Son of God’?If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said,“ Truly this Man was the Son of God!”

I and My Father are one.”Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.Jesus answered them,“ Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”The Jews answered Him, saying,“ For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.”

But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him,“ Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”Jesus said,“ I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”Then the high priest tore his clothes and said,“ What further need do we have of witnesses?You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death.

“ He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

Jesus said to them,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’
