Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them,“ Who is it you want?”

Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. So he went out and asked them,“ Who do you want?”

Then Jesus, knowing all that would happen to him, came forward and said to them,“ Whom do you seek?”

Jesus fully realized all that was going to happen to him, so he stepped forward to meet them.“ Who are you looking for?” he asked.

Then Jesus, knowing everything that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them,“ Who is it that you’re seeking?”

Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and* said to them,“ Whom are you seeking?”

Now before the feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Then He asked them again,“ Whom are you seeking?” And they said,“ Jesus of Nazareth.”

So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said:“ Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:‘ Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’“ For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered togetherto do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.

But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

And I said,“ Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!”

As the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom where my master has not sent someone to hunt for you; and when they said,‘ He is not here,’ he took an oath from the kingdom or nation that they could not find you.

For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said,“ You are not all clean.”

Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them,“ The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men,and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death,and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.”

Now as they were eating, He said,“ Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”

The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles;and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”

Then He took the twelve aside and said to them,“ Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.They will scourge Him and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again.”

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said,“ I thirst!”

“ You know that after two days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”

“ Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.”

From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,saying,‘ The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’”

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me all around.

Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

Then Jesus said to them,“ All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:‘ I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

Then He said to them,“ These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”

And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.

And now you say,‘ Go, tell your master,“ Elijah is here.”’ He will kill me!”Then Elijah said,“ As the Lord of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to him today.”So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah.Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him,“ Is that you, O troubler of Israel?”And he answered,“ I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord and have followed the Baals.
