Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.

Then they brought Jesus from Caiaphas to the Roman governor’s residence.( Now it was very early morning.) They did not go into the governor’s residence so they would not be ceremonially defiled, but could eat the Passover meal.

They led Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Passover.

说：“你竟然进到没有受割礼之人的家里，又与他们一起吃饭。”

就对他们说：“你们知道，犹太人和外族人交往或亲近是律法所禁止的。但是神指示我，不要把任何人当做俗的或不洁净的。

一到清晨，祭司长们就与长老们、经文士们以及全议会的人商议对策，然后把耶稣捆起来带走，交给彼拉多。彼拉多问他：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答他，说：“是你说的。”祭司长们控告了耶稣很多事。所以彼拉多又问他，说：“你什么都不回应吗？你看，他们控告你这么多的事。”可是，耶稣仍然什么也不回答，以致彼拉多感到惊奇。

所多玛的统领们哪，要听耶和华的话语！格摩拉的百姓啊，要倾听我们神的训诲！耶和华说：“你们所献的众多祭物，对我有什么意义呢？公绵羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油，我已经腻烦了；公牛、羊羔和公山羊的血，我也不喜悦。你们来朝见我时，谁向你们要求这践踏我庭院的事呢？不要再带无用的供物了！献祭的香，是我所憎恶的；新月节、安息日、宣召的聚会——邪恶的严肃会，是我不能容忍的。你们的新月节和所定的节期，是我心里所恨恶的；它们成了我的重负，我已厌倦不堪。你们伸开双手祷告的时候，我必掩目不看你们；就算你们多多祷告，我也不垂听。你们的双手沾满了血！

那天是逾越节的预备日，大约在中午十二点，彼拉多对犹太人说：“看，你们的王！”

犹太人的逾越节快到了。许多人从乡下上耶路撒冷去，要在节日前洁净自己。

到了清晨，所有的祭司长和民间的长老商议对付耶稣，为要处死他。他们把耶稣捆起来带走，交给总督彼拉多。这时候，那出卖耶稣的犹大看见耶稣被定了死罪，就后悔，去把三十个银钱退还给祭司长们和长老们，说：“我出卖了无辜人的血，我有罪了。”但是他们说：“这与我们有什么关系？你自己看着办吧！”犹大把银钱丢在圣所里就退了出来，去上吊自杀了。祭司长们捡起银钱，说：“这既然是血钱，不可以放到圣殿奉献里。”他们商议之后，就用那钱买了陶匠的一块地，做为外国人的坟地。因此，那块地就被称为“血田”，直到今天。这就应验了藉着先知耶利米所说的话：“他们拿了那三十个银钱，就是那人被定的价钱，是以色列子民所定的；他们用这钱买了陶匠的那块地，正如主所指示我的。”

要知道，这些人如果不作恶就睡不着觉，不绊倒人就睡卧不安；

一到天亮，民间的长老议会，包括祭司长们和经文士们，就聚集在一起。他们把耶稣带到议会里，

“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们奉献薄荷、莳萝、香芹的十分之一，却放弃了律法上更重要的：就是公义、怜悯、信实。这些才是你们应该做的，至于前者也不可放弃。你们这些瞎眼的领路人哪，你们滤掉蠓虫，却吞下骆驼！“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们洗净杯子、盘子的外面，里面却盛满了贪心和放纵。你这瞎眼的法利赛人哪！当先洗净杯子的里面，好使外面也洁净。“经文士和法利赛人哪，你们这些伪善的人有祸了！因为你们好像粉饰的坟墓，外面固然显得美丽，里面却装满了死人骨头和一切污秽。你们也是这样，你们外面对人显出公义，里面却充满了伪善和罪恶。

不过你们有一个惯例：每逢逾越节，我可以给你们释放一个囚犯。那么，你们愿意我给你们释放这犹太人的王吗？”

士兵们把耶稣带进大院，那里就是总督府，并召集了全队士兵。

因为他们的脚向恶事奔跑，他们快速地杀人流血。

他们像宴席上狂妄的讥笑者，向我咬牙切齿。

亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，也就是我们祖先的神，已经荣耀了他的仆人耶稣。你们竟然把他交出去，并且在彼拉多判定要释放他的时候，在彼拉多面前拒绝了他。

于是他们全体民众就起来，把耶稣带到彼拉多面前，开始控告耶稣，说：“我们发现这个人在败坏我们的同胞，阻止纳税给凯撒，还自称是基督、是王。”彼拉多问耶稣：“你是犹太人的王吗？”耶稣回答说：“是你说的。”彼拉多对祭司长们和众人说：“我查不出这个人有什么罪。”他们却更加坚持说：“他在犹太全地教导、煽动民众，从加利利开始，一直到这里。”
