彼得远远地跟着耶稣，直到进了大祭司的院子，和警卫一同坐在火边取暖。

我未曾与虚妄的人同坐，也不与伪善的人来往。我痛恨恶人的集会，必不与恶人同坐。耶和华啊，我要洗手表明无辜，才环绕你的祭坛；我好发出称谢的声音，述说你一切奇妙的作为。耶和华啊，我喜爱你所住的殿和你显荣耀的居所。不要把我的性命和罪人一同除掉，不要把我的生命和好流人血的一同除掉。他们的手中有奸恶，他们的右手满有贿赂。

愿我的心不与他们同谋，愿我的灵不与他们合伙；因为他们在烈怒中杀人，任意割断牛腿的筋。

不从恶人的计谋，不站罪人的道路，不坐傲慢人的座位，惟喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜思想他的律法；这人便为有福！

西门‧彼得正站着取暖，有人对他说：“你不也是他的门徒吗？”彼得不承认，说：“我不是。”

与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；和愚昧人作伴的，必受亏损。

他们在院子中间生了火，一同坐着，彼得也坐在他们当中。有一个使女看见彼得面向火光坐着，就定睛看他，说：“这个人素来也是同那人一起的。”

见彼得取暖，就看着他，说：“你素来也是同拿撒勒人耶稣一起的。”

那暗昧无益的事，不可参与，倒要把这种事揭发出来。因为，他们暗中所做的，就是连提起来都是可耻的。

基督和彼列有什么相和？信主的和不信主的有什么相干？神的殿和偶像有什么相同？因为我们是永生神的殿，就如神曾说：“我要在他们中间居住来往；我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。”所以主说：“你们务要从他们中间出来，跟他们分别；不要沾不洁净的东西，我就收纳你们。

不要被欺骗了；“滥交朋友败坏品德。”

二人既被释放，就到自己的人那里去，把祭司长和长老所说的话都告诉他们。

他们上了岸，看见那里有炭火，上面有鱼和饼。

他在那里进了一个洞，在洞中过夜。看哪，耶和华的话临到他，说：“以利亚，你在这里做什么？”

耶稣非常痛苦焦虑，祷告更加恳切，汗如大血点滴在地上。〕
