彼得遠遠地跟着耶穌，一直進入大祭司的院裏，和差役一同坐在火光裏烤火。

我沒有和虛謊人同坐，也不與瞞哄人的同羣。我恨惡惡人的會，必不與惡人同坐。耶和華啊，我要洗手表明無辜，才環繞你的祭壇；我好發稱謝的聲音，也要述說你一切奇妙的作為。耶和華啊，我喜愛你所住的殿和你顯榮耀的居所。不要把我的靈魂和罪人一同除掉；不要把我的性命和流人血的一同除掉。他們的手中有奸惡，右手滿有賄賂。

我的靈啊，不要與他們同謀；我的心哪，不要與他們聯絡；因為他們趁怒殺害人命，任意砍斷牛腿大筋。

不從惡人的計謀，不站罪人的道路，不坐褻慢人的座位，

西門‧彼得正站着烤火，有人對他說：「你不也是他的門徒嗎？」彼得不承認，說：「我不是。」

與智慧人同行的，必得智慧；和愚昧人作伴的，必受虧損。

那暗昧無益的事，不要與人同行，倒要責備行這事的人；因為他們暗中所行的，就是提起來也是可恥的。

基督和彼列有甚麼相和呢？信主的和不信主的有甚麼相干呢？神的殿和偶像有甚麼相同呢？因為我們是永生神的殿，就如神曾說：我要在他們中間居住，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神；他們要作我的子民。又說：你們務要從他們中間出來，與他們分別；不要沾不潔淨的物，我就收納你們。

你們不要自欺；濫交是敗壞善行。

二人既被釋放，就到會友那裏去，把祭司長和長老所說的話都告訴他們。

他們上了岸，就看見那裏有炭火，上面有魚，又有餅。

他在那裏進了一個洞，就住在洞中。耶和華的話臨到他說：「以利亞啊，你在這裏做甚麼？」

耶穌極其傷痛，禱告更加懇切，汗珠如大血點滴在地上。
