彼得远远地跟着耶稣，直到进了大祭司的院子里。他与差役们一起坐在火边取暖。

我不与虚妄的人同坐，也不与伪善的人来往。我憎恨作恶的会众，也不与恶人同坐。耶和华啊，我要洗净双手表明清白，还要绕着你的祭坛而行，好发出感谢的声音，讲述你一切的奇妙作为！耶和华啊，我爱你所住的殿，你荣耀所居之处！不要把我的灵魂与罪人一同收回，不要把我的命与杀人流血的一同收回。他们的手中有恶计，他们的右手满是贿赂。

愿我的灵不进入他们的密会，愿我的荣耀不参加他们的聚集；因为他们在怒气中杀人，又任意挑断牛腿筋。

这样的人是多么蒙福啊：他不从恶人的谋略，不站罪人的道路，不坐讥讽者的座位！

西门彼得正站着取暖，有人对他说：“你不也是他的门徒吗？”彼得否认说：“我不是。”

与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；与愚昧人结交的，必受亏损。

他们在院子当中生了火，一起坐着。彼得也坐在他们中间。有一个女仆看见彼得坐在火光中，就注视着他，说：“这个人也与他是一伙的。”

她看见彼得在取暖，就注视着他，说：“你也与那个拿撒勒人耶稣是一伙的。”

你们不要参与那些属黑暗结不出果子的事，反而要把那些事揭露出来，因为他们暗中所做的，连说出来也是可耻的。

基督与彼列有什么相融呢？信的与不信的有什么关系呢？神的圣所与偶像有什么相同呢？要知道，我们是永生神的圣所，正如神所说：“我将要在他们中间居住，在他们中间往来；我将要做他们的神，他们将要做我的子民。”“所以主说：你们要从他们中间出来，要被分别出来；不要碰不洁净的东西，我就接纳你们”，

你们不要被迷惑了！“结交恶友，败坏善德。”

彼得和约翰被释放了，就回到自己的人那里，把祭司长们和长老们所说的话都告诉他们。

他们一上岸，就看见有一堆炭火，上面放着鱼，还有饼。

耶稣在极大的痛苦中，祷告更加恳切；他的汗珠变得像大血滴，落在地上。
