For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. (niv)

and put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them.
