尚有多端、欲與爾言、惟此時爾尚不堪受之。

弟兄们，我从前对你们说话，还不能把你们看作属灵的人，只能看作属肉体的人，看作在基督里的婴孩。我喂给你们吃的是奶，不是饭，因为那时你们不能吃，就是现在还是不能，

耶稣用许多这样的比喻，照着他们所能听懂的，向他们讲道；

他受难以后，用许多凭据向使徒显示自己是活着的。他向使徒显现，并且讲论神的国的事，有四十天之久。

我不会再跟你们讲很多的事，因为这世界的统治者将到；他在我身上毫无作用，

我不再称你们为仆人，因为仆人不知道主人所作的事；我已经称你们为朋友了，因为我从我父那里听见的一切，都已经告诉你们了。

论到这些事，我们有很多话要说，可是很难解释；因为你们已经迟钝了，听不进去。到这个时候，你们应该已经作老师了；可是你们还需要有人再把神道理的初步教导你们。你们成了只能吃奶而不能吃干粮的人！凡是吃奶的，还是个婴孩，对公义的道理没有经历；只有长大成人的，才能吃干粮，他们的官能因为操练纯熟，就能分辨是非了。
