“ I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away.

予以此預告、庶幾來日爾等意志不致搖動。

“ All this I have told you so that you will not fall away.

“ I have told you all this so that you will not turn away from the truth.

“ I have told you these things so that you won’t abandon your faith.

“ I have told you these things to keep you from stumbling.

“ These things I have spoken to you so that you will not be led into sin.

“ These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble.

“ I have told you these things to keep you from stumbling.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

“ I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.

“ I have said these things to you so that you wouldn’t be caused to stumble.

and“ A stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense.” They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.

But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.“ I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.

so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Then Jesus said to them,“ You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written,‘ I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.”Peter answered him,“ Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.”

And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.

It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

And blessed is the one who is not offended by me.”

“ If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.Remember the word that I said to you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.Whoever hates me hates my Father also.If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled:‘ They hated me without a cause.’“ But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them,“ A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.
