耶穌對他們說：“人子得榮耀的時候到了！

我從父那裡來，到了這世界；我又離開這世界，到父那裡去。”

又從那信實的見證人、死人中首先復生的、地上眾君王的統治者耶穌基督臨到你們。他愛我們，用自己的血把我們從我們的罪中釋放出來，

你們作丈夫的，要愛妻子，好像基督愛教會，為教會捨己，為的是要用水藉著道把教會洗淨，成為聖潔，

他們不屬於這世界，像我不屬於這世界一樣。

我們愛，因為神先愛我們。

我們深願你們各人都表現同樣的熱誠，一直到底，使你們的盼望可以完全實現，

我為他們求；我不為世人求，而是為你賜給我的人求，因為他們是你的。我的一切都是你的，你的一切也是我的，並且我因著他們得了榮耀。我不再在這世上，他們卻在這世上，我要到你那裡去。聖父啊，求你因你賜給我的名，保守他們，使他們合而為一，好像我們一樣。

那時猶太人的逾越節近了。

猶太人的逾越節快到了，有許多人在過節前從各鄉上耶路撒冷去，要在那裡潔淨自己。

耶穌講完了這些話，就舉目望天，說：“父啊，時候到了，求你榮耀你的兒子，讓兒子也榮耀你，

耶穌知道快要臨到他身上的一切事，就出來對他們說：“你們找誰？”

父怎樣愛我，我也怎樣愛你們；你們要住在我的愛裡。如果你們遵守我的命令，就必定住在我的愛裡，正像我遵守了我父的命令，住在他的愛裡一樣。

我吩咐你們的一切，都要教導他們遵守。這樣，我就常常與你們同在，直到這世代的終結。”

我已經把你的名指示他們，還要再指示，使你愛我的愛在他們裡面，我也在他們裡面。”

過兩天，就是逾越節和除酵節了，祭司長和經學家設法怎樣用詭計逮捕耶穌，把他殺害。他們說：“不可在節期下手，免得引起民眾暴動。”

你們聽見我對你們說過：‘我去，但還要回到你們這裡來。’你們若愛我，就要喜樂，因為我到父那裡去，又因為父是比我大的。

“你們知道兩天之後就是逾越節，人子將要被交給人，釘在十字架上。”那時，祭司長和民間的長老聚集在大祭司該亞法的官邸，商議怎樣用詭計逮捕耶穌，把他殺害。不過他們說：“不可在節期下手，免得引起民眾暴動。”

然後，他回到門徒那裡，對他們說：“你們還在睡覺休息嗎？看哪，時候到了，人子要被交在罪人的手裡了。

除酵節又名逾越節近了。祭司長和經學家設法怎樣殺害耶穌，因為他們懼怕群眾。

耶穌說：“白晝不是有十二小時嗎？人若在白晝行走，就不會跌倒，因為他看見這世上的光；人若在夜間行走，就會跌倒，因為他沒有光。”

於是他們想逮捕他，只是沒有人下手，因為他的時候還沒有到。

現在我要到那差我來的那裡去，你們中間並沒有人問：‘你到哪裡去？’然而因為我把這些事告訴了你們，你們心裡就充滿憂愁。但我要把實情告訴你們，我去是對你們有益的。如果我不去，保惠師就不會到你們這裡來；我若去了，就會差他到你們這裡來。

這些話是耶穌在殿裡教導人的時候，在銀庫的院中說的。當時沒有人逮捕他，因為他的時候還沒有到。

但是基督卻是兒子，管理自己的家。如果我們把坦然無懼的心和可誇的盼望持守到底，我們就是他的家了。

我天天跟你們在殿裡，你們不向我下手；但現在是你們的時候了，也是黑暗掌權的時候了。”

父啊，現在讓我在你自己面前得著榮耀，就是在創世以前我與你同享的榮耀。

如果我們把起初的信念堅持到底，就是有分於基督的人了。

耶穌就對他們說：“我的時候還沒有到，你們的時候卻常常是方便的。

所以要準備好你們的心，警醒謹慎，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候所要帶給你們的恩典。

他說：“你們去告訴那個狐狸，今天明天我趕鬼醫病，第三天我的事就完成了。然而，今天明天後天，我必須前行，因為先知不能在耶路撒冷以外喪命。

耶穌被接上升的日子快到了，他就決意向耶路撒冷去，

現在我到你那裡去，我在世上說這些話，是要他們心裡充滿我的喜樂。我把你的道賜給了他們；世人恨他們，因為他們不屬於這世界，像我不屬於這世界一樣。

耶和華在古時（“在古時”或譯：“從遠處”）曾向以色列（按照《馬索拉文本》，“以色列”應作“我”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯）顯現，說：“我以永遠的愛愛你，因此，我對你的慈愛延續不息（“我對你的慈愛延續不息”或譯：“我要以慈愛吸引你”）。

人為朋友捨命，人間的愛沒有比這個更大的了。你們若行我所吩咐你們的，就是我的朋友了。

他也必堅定你們到底，使你們在我們主耶穌基督的日子無可指摘。

但靠著愛我們的那一位，我們在這一切事上就得勝有餘了。
