不过我照着父的吩咐如此去做，是为要世界知道我爱父。“起来，我们走吧！

我不再称你们为奴仆，因为奴仆不知道主人所做的事。我却称你们为朋友，因为我把从我父所听到的一切，都让你们明白了。

我确确实实地告诉你：我们讲论我们所知道的，我们见证我们所看到的，而你们却不接受我们的见证。

耶稣说：“如果神是你们的父，你们就会爱我，因为我是出于神，并且从神那里来。要知道，我并不是凭自己而来的，而是那一位差派了我。

因为我从天上降下来，不是要行自己的意思，而是要行那派我来者的意思。那派我来者的旨意，就是要我不失去他赐给我的任何人，而且要我在末日使他复活。要知道，我父的旨意正是：所有看见子而信他的人都得到永恒的生命，并且在末日，我将要使他复活。”

他见证他所看到的、他所听到的，可是没有人接受他的见证。

耶稣基督的启示，就是神赐给他，要他指示给他奴仆们的那些必须快发生的事。基督藉着他的天使，向他的奴仆约翰传达并指明了那些事。
