然官紳中亦頗有信耶穌者、惟礙於法利塞人、故不敢公然認之、恐被逐於會堂也。

Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;

At the same time that Jesus did those signs, many of the Jewish leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees, they would not openly admit they believed. They were afraid they would be thrown out of the synagogue.

Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue;

Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue.

“你们这些认识公义、把我的律法存在心里的子民哪，要听我的话！你们不要害怕人的辱骂，也不要因他们的毁谤而丧胆。

只是没有人公开地讲论他的事，因为怕那些犹太人。

他的父母说这些话，是因为怕那些犹太人。原来那些犹太人已经说好，如果有人承认耶稣是基督，就要把他赶出会堂。

对人的惧怕，会成为陷阱；依靠耶和华的，安稳在高处。

“凡是在人面前承认我的，我在我天上的父面前也将承认他；

他夜里来到耶稣那里，说：“拉比，我们知道你是从神那里来的老师，因为你所行的这些神迹，如果没有神的同在，没有人能做得到。”

你们从这一点就认出神的灵：任何灵承认耶稣基督是以肉身而来的，这灵就是出于神；

来到玛丽亚那里的许多犹太人，看到耶稣所做的事，就信了耶稣。

因为有许多犹太人为了拉撒路的缘故，离开他们，信了耶稣。

他们回答他，说：“你完全是生在罪孽中的，还敢教训我们！”于是把他赶了出去。

难道首领或法利赛人中有信他的吗？这不懂律法的民众是被诅咒的！”他们当中有一个人，就是原先来到耶稣那里的尼克迪莫，对他们说：“如果不先听本人的口供，并且了解他做了什么，我们的律法就定不了他的罪，难道不是吗？”

当人们因人子的缘故憎恨你们，排斥你们，责骂你们，把你们当做恶人革除你们的名，你们就是蒙福的。

因耶和华的话语而战兢的人哪，你们要听他的话！他说：“你们的兄弟，就是那些恨恶你们、因我名的缘故逼迫你们的，曾说：‘愿耶和华得荣耀，好让我们看见你们的喜乐吧！’他们却必蒙羞。”

这样使徒们就快快乐乐地离开了议会，因为算是配得上为这名受凌辱。

彼得坐在外面的院子里，有一个女仆过来对他说：“你也与那个加利利人耶稣是一伙的。”彼得却在众人面前否认说：“我不知道你在说什么。”他出去到门口，另有一个女仆看见他，对那里的人说：“这个人与拿撒勒人耶稣是一伙的。”彼得又起誓否认说：“我不认识那个人！”过了一会儿，旁边站着的人过来对彼得说：“你真的也是与他们一伙的，因为连你的口音也把你暴露了。”彼得就开始赌咒并起誓说：“我不认识那个人！”立时，鸡就叫了。彼得想起耶稣说过的话：“鸡叫以前，你会三次不认我”，就到外面去，痛哭起来。

“我告诉你们：无论谁在人面前承认我，人子在神的天使们面前也将承认他；

他们将要把你们赶出会堂。不但如此，时候就要到了！那杀你们的人，都会以为自己是在事奉神。

就是说，人心里相信以致称义，口里承认以致救恩，

这些事以后，亚利马太的约瑟请求彼拉多，要领取耶稣的遗体。约瑟也是耶稣的门徒，不过是暗暗地做门徒，因为他怕那些犹太人。彼拉多准许了，他就来把耶稣的遗体领去。

你究竟害怕谁、畏惧谁，以致说谎、不记念我，也不把我放在心上呢？难道我长久以来不是一直静默吗？难道你们因此就不敬畏我了吗？

各位蒙爱的人哪，当火一样的考验临到你们中间，给你们试炼的时候，你们不要感到奇怪，好像发生了怪异的事。相反，你们既然在基督的苦难上有份，就应该照此欢喜，好使你们在他荣耀显现的时候，也可以欢喜、快乐。你们如果因基督的名受责骂，就是蒙福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，住在你们身上。你们当中不可有人因杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦；但如果有人因为是基督徒而受苦，他不应该感到羞耻，反要奉这名来荣耀神；

凡是承认耶稣是神儿子的，神就住在他里面，他也住在神里面。
