他进去，关上门，只有他们两个人，他就向耶和华祈祷。他上去伏在孩子身上，口对口，眼对眼，手对手。他伏在孩子身上，孩子的身体就渐渐暖和了。然后他下来，在屋里来回走了一趟，又上去伏在孩子身上。孩子打了七个喷嚏，眼睛就睁开了。以利沙叫基哈西说：“你叫这书念妇人来。”于是他叫了她来。妇人来到以利沙那里，以利沙说：“把你儿子抱起来。”

以利亚三次伏在孩子的身上，求告耶和华说：“耶和华—我的神啊，求你使这孩子的生命归回给他吧！”耶和华听了以利亚的呼求，孩子的生命归回给他，他就活了。

彼得叫她们都出去，然后跪下祷告，转身对着尸体说：“大比大，起来！”她就睁开眼睛，看见彼得，就坐了起来。

于是耶稣进前来，按着杠，抬的人就站住了。耶稣说：“年轻人，我吩咐你，起来！”那死人就坐了起来，开始说话，耶稣就把他交给他的母亲。

彼得对他说：“以尼雅，耶稣基督医好你了，起来！整理你的褥子吧。”他立刻就起来了。

彼得看见，就对百姓说：“以色列人哪，为什么因这事而惊讶呢？为什么定睛看我们，以为我们凭自己的能力和虔诚使这人行走呢？

他们就非常惧怕，彼此说：“这到底是谁？连风和海都听从他。”

彼得却说：“金银我都没有，但我把我有的给你：奉拿撒勒人耶稣基督的名起来行走！”
