Then Andrew brought Simon to meet Jesus. Looking intently at Simon, Jesus said,“ Your name is Simon, son of John— but you will be called Cephas”( which means“ Peter”).

He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas( which is by interpretation, Peter).

and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

吃过早餐，耶稣对西门·彼得说：“约翰的儿子西门，你比这些人更爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊！是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣对他说：“你要喂养我的小羊。”耶稣第二次问：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊！是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你要牧养我的羊。”耶稣第三次问：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣一连三次这样问他，就难过起来，于是对耶稣说：“主啊！你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你要喂养我的羊。

无论是保罗、亚波罗、彼得、世界、生命、死亡、现在的事或将来的事都属于你们，

我的意思是你们有人说：“我是跟随保罗的”，有人说：“我是跟随亚波罗的”，有人说：“我是跟随彼得的”，有人说：“我是跟随基督的”。

当时被誉为教会柱石的雅各、彼得和约翰明白了上帝赐给我的恩典之后，就与我和巴拿巴用右手行相交之礼，让我们向外族人传福音，他们向受割礼的人传福音。

耶稣说：“我不是拣选了你们十二个人吗？但其中有一个是魔鬼。”耶稣这话是指着加略人西门的儿子犹大说的，因为他是十二个门徒之一，后来出卖了耶稣。

耶稣对他说：“约拿的儿子西门啊，你是有福的！因为这件事不是属血肉的人告诉你的，而是我天上的父启示你的。我告诉你，你是彼得，我要在这磐石上建立我的教会，阴间的势力不能胜过它。

西门·彼得见状，便跪倒在耶稣膝前说：“主啊，离开我，我是个罪人！”

耶稣却不信任他们，因为祂洞悉万人。不用别人告诉祂，祂也深知人的内心。

以下是这十二位使徒的名字：首先是西门，又名彼得，还有彼得的兄弟安得烈、西庇太的儿子雅各、雅各的兄弟约翰、

难道我们没有权利像主的兄弟、彼得和其他使徒一样，娶信主的姊妹为妻，一同出入吗？

并曾向彼得显现，又向十二使徒显现；

这十二位使徒是：西门——耶稣给他取名叫彼得、

西门·彼得、绰号“双胞胎”的多马、加利利的迦拿人拿但业、西庇太的两个儿子以及其他两个门徒都在一起。

耶稣看见拿但业走过来，就指着他说：“看啊，这是个真正的以色列人！他心里毫无诡诈。”拿但业问耶稣：“你怎么会认识我？”耶稣答道：“腓力还没有去找你之前，我就看见你在无花果树下了。”

我这话不是对你们每一个人说的，我知道我拣选了谁，但这是为了要应验圣经上的话，‘吃我饭的人用脚踢我。’
