and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said,“ You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which is translated Peter).

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said,“ You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas”( which is by interpretation, Peter).

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”“ Yes, Lord,” he said,“ you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my lambs.”Again Jesus said,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered,“ Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Take care of my sheep.”The third time he said to him,“ Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time,“ Do you love me?” He said,“ Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said,“ Feed my sheep. whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future— all are yours, (niv)

What I mean is this: One of you says,“ I follow Paul”; another,“ I follow Apollos”; another,“ I follow Cephas”; still another,“ I follow Christ.” (niv)

James, Cephas and John, those esteemed as pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. (niv)

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said,“ Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (niv)

But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people.He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person. (niv)

These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon( who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; (niv)

Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas? (niv)

and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. (niv)

These are the twelve he appointed: Simon( to whom he gave the name Peter), (niv)

Simon Peter, Thomas( also known as Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples were together. (niv)
