I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

我先前不认识他，只是那差我来用水施洗的、对我说：‘你看见圣灵降下来，住在谁的身上，谁就是用圣灵施洗的。’

予雖未之素識、惟遣予授洗者曾誥予曰：「汝見聖神降臨、止於其身者、是即將以聖神授洗者也。」

And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me,‘ The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

I myself did not know him. But the one who sent me to baptize with water told me,‘ You will see the Spirit come down and remain on someone. He is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me,‘ The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

I didn’t know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water told me,‘ The one you see the Spirit descending and resting on— he is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

And I did not recognize Him, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me,‘ He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining upon Him, this is the One who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize in water, he said unto me, Upon whomsoever thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and abiding upon him, the same is he that baptizeth in the Holy Spirit.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.

And I did not recognize him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me,‘ The one on whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining– this is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’

for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

John answered, saying to all,“ I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning.Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said,‘ John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free— and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

Jesus answered,“ Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

he said to them,“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him,“ We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”And he said to them,“ Into what then were you baptized?” So they said,“ Into John’s baptism.”Then Paul said,“ John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

And he preached, saying,“ There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered,“ Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”

I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”

Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.And John tried to prevent Him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”But Jesus answered and said to him,“ Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
