他们就问他：“你既不是基督，不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那么，你为什么施洗呢？”

“你既然不是基督，不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那你为什么给人施洗呢？”

他们问约翰：“你既然不是基督，不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那么你为什么施洗呢？”

他们又问约翰：“你既不是基督，又不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那么，你为什么施洗呢？”

他們就問他說：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那先知，為甚麼施洗呢？」

他們就問他：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為甚麼施洗呢？」

他們就問他：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為甚麼施洗呢？」

「你既然不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那你為什麼給人施洗呢？」

他們問約翰：“你既然不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼你為甚麼施洗呢？”

他們詰問約翰說：『你既不是上帝所膏立者基督，又不是以利亞，也不是那位神言人，那你為甚麼施洗呢？』

他們又問約翰：「你既不是基督，又不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為什麼施洗呢？」

復問之曰、爾非基督、非以利亞、非彼先知、胡為施洗耶、

又問曰、爾非基督非以利亞、非先知、何為施洗耶、

又問曰、爾非基督、非以利亞、非彼先知、何為施洗乎、

爰又問曰：『爾既非基督、又非伊理藹、亦非先知、則胡為授洗耶？』

questioned him,“ Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

asked him,“ If you are not the Messiah, why are you baptizing people? Why are you doing that if you aren’t Elijah or the Prophet we’ve been expecting?”

They asked him,“ Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

asked him,“ If you aren’t the Messiah or Elijah or the Prophet, what right do you have to baptize?”

So they asked him,“ Why then do you baptize if you aren’t the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?”

They asked him, and said to him,“ Why then are you baptizing, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

And they asked him, saying,“ Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why then baptizest thou, if thou art not the Christ, neither Elijah, neither the prophet?

So they asked him,“ Why then do you baptize if you aren’t the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?”

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

So they asked John,“ Why then are you baptizing if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

They asked him,“ Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”

我必在他们弟兄中给他们兴起一位先知像你。我要将当说的话放在他口里；他要将我一切所吩咐的都告诉他们。

“耶和华—你的神要从你弟兄中给你兴起一位先知像我，你们要听他。

他就承认，并不隐瞒，承认说：“我不是基督。”他们又问他：“那么，你是谁？是以利亚吗？”他说：“我不是。”“是那位先知吗？”他回答：“不是。”于是他们对他说：“你到底是谁，好让我们回覆差我们来的人。你说，你自己是谁？”

耶稣进了圣殿，正教导人的时候，祭司长和百姓的长老来问他：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你这权柄的是谁呢？”

“为你百姓和你圣城，已经定了七十个七，要止住罪过，除净罪恶，赎尽罪孽，引进永恒的公义，封住异象和预言，并膏至圣所。你当知道，当明白，从发出命令恢复并重建耶路撒冷，直到受膏的君出现，必有七个七和六十二个七。耶路撒冷城连街带濠都必在艰难中恢复并重建。过了六十二个七，那受膏者被剪除，一无所有；必有一王的百姓来毁灭这城和圣所，它的结局必如洪水冲没。必有战争，一直到末了，荒凉的事已经定了。

说：“我们不是严严地禁止你们，不可奉这名教导人吗？看，你们倒把你们的道理充满了耶路撒冷，想要叫这人的血归到我们身上！”

第二天，官长、长老和文士在耶路撒冷聚集，又有亚那大祭司、该亚法、约翰、亚历山大，和大祭司的亲族都在那里。他们叫使徒站在中间，问他们：“你们凭什么能力，奉谁的名做这事呢？”
