他们问约翰：“你既然不是基督，不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那么你为什么施洗呢？”

他们又问约翰：“你既不是基督，又不是以利亚，也不是那位先知，那么，你为什么施洗呢？”

他們就問他說：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那先知，為甚麼施洗呢？」

他們就問他：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為甚麼施洗呢？」

他們就問他：「你既不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為甚麼施洗呢？」

「你既然不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那你為什麼給人施洗呢？」

他們問約翰：“你既然不是基督，不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼你為甚麼施洗呢？”

他們詰問約翰說：『你既不是上帝所膏立者基督，又不是以利亞，也不是那位神言人，那你為甚麼施洗呢？』

他們又問約翰：「你既不是基督，又不是以利亞，也不是那位先知，那麼，你為什麼施洗呢？」

復問之曰、爾非基督、非以利亞、非彼先知、胡為施洗耶、

又問曰、爾非基督非以利亞、非先知、何為施洗耶、

又問曰、爾非基督、非以利亞、非彼先知、何為施洗乎、

爰又問曰：『爾既非基督、又非伊理藹、亦非先知、則胡為授洗耶？』

questioned him,“ Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

asked him,“ If you are not the Messiah, why are you baptizing people? Why are you doing that if you aren’t Elijah or the Prophet we’ve been expecting?”

They asked him,“ Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

asked him,“ If you aren’t the Messiah or Elijah or the Prophet, what right do you have to baptize?”

So they asked him,“ Why then do you baptize if you aren’t the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?”

They asked him, and said to him,“ Why then are you baptizing, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

And they asked him, saying,“ Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why then baptizest thou, if thou art not the Christ, neither Elijah, neither the prophet?

So they asked him,“ Why then do you baptize if you aren’t the Messiah, or Elijah, or the Prophet?”

And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet?

So they asked John,“ Why then are you baptizing if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

They asked him,“ Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”

我必在他們弟兄中間給他們興起一位先知，像你。我要將當說的話傳給他；他要將我一切所吩咐的都傳給他們。 (cunpt)

他就明說，並不隱瞞，明說：「我不是基督。」他們又問他說：「這樣，你是誰呢？是以利亞嗎？」他說：「我不是。」「是那先知嗎？」他回答說：「不是。」於是他們說：「你到底是誰，叫我們好回覆差我們來的人。你自己說，你是誰？」 (cunpt)

耶穌進了殿，正教訓人的時候，祭司長和民間的長老來問他說：「你仗着甚麼權柄做這些事？給你這權柄的是誰呢？」 (cunpt)

「為你本國之民和你聖城，已經定了七十個七。要止住罪過，除淨罪惡，贖盡罪孽，引進永義，封住異象和預言，並膏至聖者。你當知道，當明白，從出令重新建造耶路撒冷，直到有受膏君的時候，必有七個七和六十二個七。正在艱難的時候，耶路撒冷城連街帶濠都必重新建造。過了六十二個七，那受膏者必被剪除，一無所有；必有一王的民來毀滅這城和聖所，至終必如洪水沖沒。必有爭戰，一直到底，荒涼的事已經定了。 (cunpt)

「我們不是嚴嚴地禁止你們，不可奉這名教訓人嗎？你們倒把你們的道理充滿了耶路撒冷，想要叫這人的血歸到我們身上！」 (cunpt)

第二天，官府、長老，和文士在耶路撒冷聚會，又有大祭司亞那和該亞法、約翰、亞歷山大，並大祭司的親族都在那裏，叫使徒站在當中，就問他們說：「你們用甚麼能力，奉誰的名做這事呢？」 (cunpt)
