我又聽見他對其餘的人說：“你們要跟隨他走遍那城，進行殺戮；你們的眼不要顧惜，你們也不要憐恤。你們要從我的聖所開始，把老年人、少年人、少女、孩童和婦女都殺盡滅絕，只是那些額上有記號的人，你們都不可傷害。”於是他們從殿前那些長老開始殺戮。

死者的親屬和殮葬的人把屍體從房子抬走，並問那躲在屋內深處的人：“還有人嗎？”那人回答：“沒有，不要再說話，不可再提耶和華的名。”看哪！耶和華下令，大樓就粉碎，小屋也要破裂。

“人子啊！至於你，你要拍手說預言，要接二連三地使用這殺人的刀，就是導致極大死傷的刀，把它們圍困，好使他們心慌意亂，多人跌倒，我在他們所有的城門那裡布下了殺戮（“殺戮”這譯法是參考古譯本，原文意思不詳）的人；啊！這刀做得閃爍發光，磨得尖利，可以殺戮。
