他们坐下吃饭，举目观看，见有一群以实玛利人从基列来。他们的骆驼载着香料、乳香和没药，要带下埃及去。

埃及的人民哪，上基列去取乳香吧！你虽多用药物都是无效，你必不得医治。

“耶和华这样说：‘你的损伤无法痊愈，你的创伤不能医治。没有人为你申诉，你的伤处无药可救，你不得医治。你所有的盟友都忘记了你，不再关心你；我击打了你，好像仇敌击打你，又好像残暴的人惩罚你一样；都因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪恶无数。你为什么因你的损伤哀叫呢？你的病痛无法痊愈。我这样对你，是因你的罪孽甚多，你的罪恶无数。但是，吞吃你的，必被吞吃；你所有的敌人全都要被掳走；抢掠你的，必成为被抢掠之物；掠夺你的，我必使他们成为被掠夺之物。虽然人都说你是被放逐的，是没有人关心的锡安；我却必使你康复，医治你的创伤。’”这是耶和华的宣告。

巴比伦必突然倾覆毁灭，你们要为它哀号！拿乳香来消除它的痛楚，也许可以治好它。

有一个女人，患了十二年的血漏病，在医生手里花尽了全部养生的（有些抄本无“在医生手里花尽了全部养生的”一句），没有一个能医好她。

他们的父亲以色列对他们说：“如果必须如此，你们就这样作：你们把本地最好的出产放在袋里，带下去给那人作礼物，就是一点乳香、一点蜂蜜、香料、没药、粟子和杏仁。

耶稣回答：“健康的人不需要医生，有病的人才需要。我来不是要召义人，而是要召罪人悔改。”

法利赛人看见了，就对他的门徒说：“你们的老师为什么跟税吏和罪人一起吃饭呢？”耶稣听见了，就说：“健康的人不需要医生，有病的人才需要，

你们为什么屡次悖逆，还要受责打吗？你们整个头都受了伤，整个心都发昏了。从脚掌到头顶，没有一处是完全的；尽是创伤、鞭痕和流血的伤口；没有挤干净伤口，没有包扎，也没有用膏油滋润。
