彼眾悖逆特甚、隨在誹謗、為銅為鐵、悉行邪惡、

彼悉違予、評人長短、若金與銅鐵交融、

彼皆悖逆特甚、皆讒毀人者、皆若銅若鐵、皆作惡者、

They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly.

All of them are used to disobeying me. They go around telling lies about others. They are like bronze mixed with iron. All of them do very sinful things.

They are all stubbornly rebellious, going about with slanders; they are bronze and iron; all of them act corruptly.

They are the worst kind of rebel, full of slander. They are as hard as bronze and iron, and they lead others into corruption.

All are stubborn rebels spreading slander. They are bronze and iron; all of them are corrupt.

I reported,“ All of them are the most stubborn of rebels! They are as hard as bronze or iron. They go about telling lies. They all deal corruptly.

“你們各人要提防自己的鄰舍，不要信靠兄弟；因為每一個兄弟都在欺騙人，每一個鄰舍都搬弄是非。

可是這人民，竟存著頑梗悖逆的心；背我而去。’

他們說：“來吧！我們來設計對付耶利米；因為祭司的律法、智慧人的謀略、先知的話都不會斷絕。來吧！我們用舌頭攻擊他，不理會他的一切話。”

嗐！犯罪的國，罪孽深重的子民，行惡的子孫，敗壞的兒女！他們離棄了耶和華，藐視以色列的聖者，他們轉離了他。你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，還要受責打嗎？你們整個頭都受了傷，整個心都發昏了。

你經常毀謗你的兄弟，誣衊你母親的兒子。

我聽見許多人耳語：“瑪歌珥．米撒畢！告發他，我們要告發他！”我所有的知己朋友都等著看我行差踏錯，他們說：“希望他會上當，我們就可以勝過他，向他報復。”

以色列人哪！你們要回轉，歸向那曾被你們（“你們”直譯是“他們”）徹底背棄的耶和華。（本節或譯“你們要回轉，歸向那曾被以色列人徹底背棄的耶和華。”）

“人子啊！以色列家在我看來已成了渣滓；他們都是爐中的銅、錫、鐵和鉛；就是銀的渣滓。因此，主耶和華這樣說：‘你們既然都成了渣滓，所以，我要把你們集合在耶路撒冷城中。人怎樣把銀、銅、鐵、鉛、錫，集合在爐中，吹火使它們熔化，我也照樣在我的怒氣、我的烈怒中，把你們集合起來，放在城中，使你們熔化。我必集合你們，把我烈怒的火吹在你們身上，你們就必在城中熔化。銀子怎樣在爐中熔化，你們也必照樣在城中熔化；你們就知道我耶和華把我的烈怒倒在你身上。’”

列國忿怒了！你的震怒也臨到了！時候已經到了！死人要受審判！你的眾僕人、先知、聖徒，和所有老幼貴賤、敬畏你名的人，都要得賞賜！你也要毀滅那些敗壞全地的人！”

人要稱他們為被棄的銀渣，因為耶和華把他們棄絕了。

因為他的審判是真實公義的。他審判了那大淫婦，那以淫亂敗壞了世界的；並且為他的僕人向淫婦伸了流血的冤。”
