因为他们从最小的到至大的都一味地贪婪，从先知到祭司都行事虚谎。

“ From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

Everyone wants to get richer and richer, from the least important of them to the most important. Prophets and priests alike try to fool everyone they can.

“ For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is greedy for unjust gain; and from prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.

“ From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.

For from the least to the greatest of them, everyone is making profit dishonestly. From prophet to priest, everyone deals falsely.

“ For from the least of them to the greatest of them, Everyone is greedy for gain, And from the prophet to the priest Everyone deals falsely.

“ Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely.

耶和華曰、先知祭司、皆為侮慢、在於我室、我見其惡、

故我必以其妻室予他人、以其田疇付虜者、因其自尊逮卑、咸屬貪婪、先知祭司、俱行虛誕、

首領為賄而行鞫、祭司為利而訓誨、先知為金而占卜、猶恃耶和華曰、耶和華非在我中乎、災禍必不臨我、

緣其貪婪之咎、我則奮怒以擊之、掩面而憾之、彼仍悖逆、任意而行、

惟爾心目、專務貪婪、流無辜之血、行強迫暴虐、

先知傳虛偽、祭司藉以操權、我民咸以為悅、至終爾將若之何、

我若往於田、則見為刃所戮者、我若入於邑、則見因饑而病者、先知祭司、遊於未識之地、○

論及誘惑我民之先知、彼牙齒有所嚼、則呼曰平康、若不以物實其口、則備戰以攻之、耶和華曰、

其中之先知結黨、若獅狂吼、攫而裂物、吞噬人靈、取其珍寶、以致邑中嫠婦眾多、其祭司干我法律、污我聖物、不辨聖與不聖、不使人別潔與不潔、掩目不顧我之安息、致我見瀆於民中、其中之牧伯、若狼攫而裂物、惟欲流血、殄滅人靈、以獲不義之利、其先知以不堅之泥、為人塗垣、所見虛偽、所占妄誕、彼謂主耶和華言之、然耶和華未言也、

惟爾惡善好惡、剝人之膚、剔肉於骨、食我民之肉、剝其膚、折其骨、切之成塊、若為釜而備、若鼎中之肉、

其中之牧伯乃吼獅、其士師為暮出之狼、無所遺於詰旦、其先知輕佻詭詐、其祭司污玷聖所、干犯法律、

田野叢林之獸、其來吞噬、彼之守望、瞽目無知、啞犬不吠、喜夢幻、好偃臥、貪寢睡、斯犬饕餮、不知饜足、斯牧不明、各趨其途、悉求利己、彼曰、其來、我將取酒、痛飲醇醪、明日同於今日、樂莫大焉、

法利賽人乃好利者、聞而哂之、

在牀謀惡營邪、迨至黎明、以手有力而行之者、其人禍哉、彼貪田畝而奪之、貪第宅而取之、且虐待其人與家、而據其業、

蓋以色列人與猶大人、及其君王牧伯、祭司先知、暨猶大眾、耶路撒冷居民、惟惡是作、以激我怒、

斯人也、以清酒而搖曳、以醇醪而蹁躚、祭司先知、亦以醇醪而搖曳、皆困於酒、以醇醪而蹁躚、見異象則謬解、行審判則顚蹶、

祭司未言耶和華安在、講法律者不識我、民牧干罪於我、先知託巴力之名而預言、從無益之事、

其目充淫色、不已於罪、煽惑不堅之人、心習貪婪、是為受詛之子、棄正道而迷罔、從比珥子巴蘭之道、即愛不義之值者也、

不酗酒、不毆擊、惟溫和無競、不好貨財、

受賄以流人血、貸金而取利息、行暴於鄰、得財無厭、而忘乎我、主耶和華言之矣、

緣其先知干罪、祭司蹈愆兮、乃流義人之血於其中兮、

盜見獲則愧恥、以色列家、與其君王牧伯、祭司先知、愧恥亦若是、

耶路撒冷之先知、所行可憎、我亦見之、縱淫亂、行虛誕、而堅惡人之手、致令無人轉離其惡、彼於我前如所多瑪、其民若蛾摩拉、○萬軍之耶和華論先知曰、我必以茵陳食之、以毒水飲之、因耶路撒冷之先知、使邪惡徧滿斯土也、

耶利米於耶和華室言此、祭司先知庶民悉聞之、耶利米以耶和華所命、告眾既竟、祭司先知庶民執之曰、爾必死、

彼由貪婪、將以飾言漁爾之利、自昔其鞫不遲、淪亡不寢、

彼詣爾所、如民來集、坐於爾前、若為我民、聽爾言而不行之、其口多顯仁愛、心則逐利、
