又屢屢攻擊我，終日不斷。

你們將不是被擄就是被殺。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣還沒有止息，祂降罰的手沒有收回。

所有留在猶大王宮的婦女都必被巴比倫王的將領俘虜，她們會諷刺你說，『你被好友欺騙、誤導，當你陷入泥潭時，他們就離棄了你。』

祂抬起右手張弓搭箭，宛若仇敵，殺戮一切悅人眼目的人，將祂的怒火撒向錫安城的帳篷。主像敵人一樣毀滅以色列，吞噬她的宮殿，夷平她的堡壘，使猶大人哀哭不止。

東有亞蘭人，西有非利士人，他們必吞噬以色列。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣還沒有止息，祂的懲罰還沒有停止。

大衛舉目看見耶和華的天使站在天地之間，手握著已出鞘的刀，指向耶路撒冷。大衛和眾長老都身披麻衣，臉伏於地。

他們要建造房屋，安然居住，栽種葡萄園，吃園中的果子。他們建的房屋再不會被別人居住，他們種的果實再不會被別人享用。我的子民必像樹木一樣長壽，我揀選的人必長享自己親手勞碌的成果。

他們目無上帝，行事邪惡，口出狂言。所以，主不喜歡他們的青年，也不憐憫他們的孤兒寡婦。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣還沒有止息，祂降罰的手沒有收回。

耶和華決意拆毀錫安的城牆，祂拉了準線，定意毀滅，決不停止。祂使城牆和壁壘一同悲哀哭泣。
