“你们聘了妻子，别人必占有她；你们盖了房屋，必不能住在里面；你们栽种葡萄园，必吃不到园中的出产。“你们必看着自己的牛被宰杀却吃不到肉，自己的驴被抢走后一去不还，自己的羊被敌人掳走却无人搭救，自己的儿女被外族人掳走，你们终日望眼欲穿，却无能为力。“与你们素不相识的民族必吃光你们土地的出产和劳碌所得，你们必常受欺压，

我们成了丧父的孤儿，我们的母亲成了寡妇。

又屡屡攻击我，终日不断。

他们目无上帝，行事邪恶，口出狂言。所以，主不喜欢他们的青年，也不怜悯他们的孤儿寡妇。虽然如此，耶和华的怒气还没有止息，祂降罚的手没有收回。

耶和华决意拆毁锡安的城墙，祂拉了准线，定意毁灭，决不停止。祂使城墙和壁垒一同悲哀哭泣。
