I will punish Bel in Babylon and make him spew out what he has swallowed. The nations will no longer stream to him. And the wall of Babylon will fall.

I will punish the god named Bel in Babylon. I will make Bel spit out what he has swallowed. The nations will not come and worship him anymore. And Babylon’s walls will fall down.

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and take out of his mouth what he has swallowed. The nations shall no longer flow to him; the wall of Babylon has fallen.

And I will punish Bel, the god of Babylon, and make him vomit up all he has eaten. The nations will no longer come and worship him. The wall of Babylon has fallen!

郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。

萬有之主耶和華又曰、巴比倫城垣雖廣必毀、邑門雖高必焚、昔役列邦之民、竭力築此、後必盡燬、歸於烏有。

當立旌旆、告於列邦、播傳毋隱、曰、巴比倫已陷、巴勒抱愧、米羅達已折、諸偶像已毀。

越至末期、耶和華殿宇之山、必超乎眾山之上、高出於層巒叠嶂間、異邦族類、無不來集。

取耶和華殿之器皿、徙至國中、置於其殿。

滄海之珍寶、洲島之貨財、俱歸乎爾、爾見此而喜、心曠神怡。

召方伯州牧、顯宦刑官、筦庫之士、刀筆之吏、諳法之師、與眾邑宰俱至、欲釁所鑄之像、百官既集、立於像前、將行釁禮、

因其威儀、億兆族姓、戰慄於前、生殺昇降、皆出王衷、

斯樹即王、爾既長大、堅剛無比、高大及乎九宵、權能延乎四極、

天下諸王、素與巴比倫行淫、專事華靡、見厥火炎炎、必哭之哀、懼害及身、遙立云巴比倫大邑、素稱鞏固、一時刑至、哀哉、天下商旅、苦無貿易、故哭之哀、所貿易者、金銀、寶石、珠璣、細布、絲縷、紫絳、染料、杜松、象牙、佳木、銅鐵白石諸器、亦有肉桂、香品、香膏、乳香、酒油、粉麥、牛羊、車馬、奴僕、向所嗜果實安在、珍奇華彩無存、不可復得、諸商旅因以富饒、懼害及身、遙立哀哭云、大邑素衣細布紫絳、飾金玉珠璣、頃刻間、富有遂至貧乏、嗚呼哀哉、各舟長舟子、與附載之人、及航海商旅遙立、見厥火炎炎、呼曰、誰能與大邑比儗乎、以塵埃蒙首、哀哭呼曰、大邑以厥珍寶、使操舟於海者富裕、頃刻間、已至貧乏、嗚呼哀哉、

我今頒詔命、諸民人族姓、凡瀆沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷之上帝者、必剖其體、以其室為厠、蓋無他上帝、能救人若此。

悉無靈爽、妄人所作、天災一至、與眾偕亡。

米太人大利烏得迦勒底地而王之、時年六十有二。

其勝猶大王約雅金也、耶和華聽之、遷上帝殿中器皿之半、返於示拿、藏於其上帝殿旁之庫、

斯後我必降災於巴比倫偶像、通國懷羞、邑眾被戮。

今我欲雪宿忿、視其所行而加報施、爾曹當鼓譟直前、毀其垣墉、傾其基址、使巴比倫投誠。

咪呢即數之之義、上帝數爾國祚、使爾永終、

耶和華曰、巴比倫雖築高垣、上凌霄漢、我必使敵破之、

巴勒顛躓、尼破隕越、其像甚重、牲畜負之、無不困憊、巴勒、尼破俱已隕越、不能保其偶像、為人所虜。

昔尼布甲尼撒在耶路撒冷、遷耶和華殿之器皿、置於己上帝之殿、今巴西王古列、命司庫之吏密哩撻、攜器皿出、依其數、予猶大伯設巴薩、

進酒時、命取金銀器皿、乃王之祖尼布甲尼撒得之於耶路撒冷上帝殿者、遂取之至、王公后妃以之飲酒、

尼布甲尼撒王、頒詔天下、曰、願民人族姓、咸得平康、
